Terms of Service

1. Agreement

By creating an account or placing an order with PathWrite, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use our service.

2. The Service

PathWrite provides a platform for creating personalised books for any age group and genre. We offer digital and printed formats. Book content is generated based on your inputs using our approved story templates.

3. Accounts

  • You must be 18 years or older to create an account.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
  • You may not share your account with others or create accounts on behalf of others without authorisation.

4. Orders and Payment

  • All prices are in South African Rand (ZAR) and include VAT.
  • Payment is required before book generation begins.
  • Digital orders are final once the book has been generated and delivered.
  • Printed orders may be cancelled within 24 hours of placement, before production begins.

5. Refunds

We offer refunds for printed books that are damaged or defective on arrival. Please contact support within 7 days of receipt with photos of the defect. Digital books are non-refundable once downloaded.

6. Acceptable Use

You may not use PathWrite to create books that:

  • Contain offensive, defamatory, or illegal content.
  • Infringe the intellectual property rights of others.
  • Include photos of individuals without their consent.

We reserve the right to refuse or cancel orders that violate these terms.

7. Intellectual Property

All story templates, illustrations, and platform software are owned by PathWrite or its content partners. Your personalised book (once purchased) is licensed for personal use only and may not be reproduced or sold.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, PathWrite is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid for the relevant order.

9. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of South Africa.
